How it works

As a priority offering, Maersk Accelerate saves time and hassle across various milestones in your cargo’s journey through a bundle of express solutions.

Block stowage

The block stow method stores all your containers together. Once the vessel arrives at its destination, those containers are discharged first.

Priority loading and unloading

As soon as your cargo arrives at the origin terminal, our teams accelerate the loading of your cargo. It’s unloaded on priority at the destination terminal.

Express terminal lane

Accelerate stacks enjoy express lane discharge, connected to our express inland services for delivery.

Customs Services (optional)

Our customs teams also manage the necessary documentation and clearances for your cargo.

Express inland delivery (optional)

Once your cargo is discharged from the terminal, speedy inland haulage options can fast-track doorstep deliveries.

Guaranteed diversion (optional)

While cargo is on water, you can decide to discharge in an earlier or later port (or inland destination) with no extra operational cost.

You need to be a Maersk Ocean Transportation customer to buy Maersk Accelerate. The product is an optional add-on to your Maersk Contract, which gives you a fully integrated experience – one contact point for all services, one invoice and fully transparent pricing.

Today, Maersk Accelerate, Maersk Accelerate Collect and Maersk Accelerate Destination Flex are available in the following ports/markets: (Los Angeles/Long Beach, Manzanillo, Newark, San Antonio, Algeciras, Felixstowe, Barcelona, Koper, Rijeka, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Vodo ligure, Genoa, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Gdansk, Shanghai, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Lazaro Cardenas and Port of Chittagong).

You can sign up for Maersk Accelerate at any time. It is included in your existing Ocean Contract as an add-on. You will need to provide the desired origin/destination pairs, and volume indications to your sales representative.
